My Kaspersky Home Antivirus Review:
Kaspersky Home Antivirus‘s control center is an attractive and simple window providing quick access to various functions. It features a row of functionality tabs over the left-hand side from the window and it has sub-menus that appear when each is clicked. The section that you will most likely to use is the ”Protection Center” tab which includes virtually all controls for the application.
The full scan took a bit over 1 hours and scanned over 600,000 files in my PC which is very dam impressive! While scanning, the antivirus didn’t hog the CPU but left it quite usable. Additionally , it looks like it’s relatively light on memory (relative compared to other antivirus applications I have tried personally) which bodes well.
Kaspersky Home Antivirus firewall has two settings – on and off. Not so difficult. Following that, individual permissions could be granted/denied on a per-application basis. It’s also did a find job to hide my computer information from web.
One of many some tips I consider when searching for a home antivirus is parental controls, and Kaspersky Home Antivirus has a very easy-to-configure system for setting these through to a per-account basis. Select an account, give it your password, select categories along with the job and that is it. It’s also easy enough to add exceptions to the rules and allow access.
Some other reviewers may have stated that Kaspersky Home Antivirus slows down their systems and is also a resource hog. This has not been my observation.
Kaspersky Home Antivirus is a superb security solution and does a fine job of defending the system from online threats. On my system it can be fast, lightweight and modest on resource usage. There are a few quirks from it but these are mostly minor issues. My first experience of Kaspersky has been a good one and I also am very happy to recommend their Kaspersky Home Antivirus solution software.
